Day 1: Arrive Jakarta
Touch down at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Following immigration and customs formalities, you will be meet and escorted to your selected hotel. Remainder of the day is free to relax and adjust to your new surroundings.
Day 2: Jakarta – Rimba Lodge
This morning you will be transferred to the airport and connect with your flight for Pangkalanbun in Central Kalimantan. On arrival, you will be met and escorted to Blue Kecubung Hotel for luncheon. And then you will drive to Kumai Jetty, where you will ride on wooden boat to Rimba Lodge. En route you will make a stop at Tanjung Harapan, where some of the Orang Utans are taken care here in the camp. Arrive at Rimba Lodge, where you will have the chance to explore river and see Proboscis Monkeys and birds. Dinner and stay overnight at Rimba Lodge. B/L/D
Day 3: Excursion to Camp Leakey
After early morning breakfast, cruising by wooden boat to Camp Leaky, where you will start trekking through the tropical rain forest, searching for Orang Utans, Birds, Wild Boar and other primates and many exotic tropical plant life of Borneo. In the afternoon you will join the feeding time and this is the best chance to some pictures of Orang Utans. Lunch will be served on the boat. Return to Rimba Lodge for dinner and stay overnight. Day 4: Excursion to Pondok Tanguy
Soon after breakfast, cruising by wooden boat to Pondok Tanguy as a new rehabilitation center for orphaned Orang Utans. In this park you will observe Orang Utans live in their natural habitat. Lunch will be served on the boat. Return to Rimba Lodge for dinner and stay overnight. B/L/D
Day 5: Rimba Lodge – Departure
You will return to Kumai after breakfast. On arrival, you will be transferred directly to Pangkalanbun’s Airport to connect with your flight to the next destination.
